FSB Director Alexander Bortnikov stated at a RATS meeting in Samarkand that under the 'patronage' of British intelligence services, terrorist acts and sabotage are being carried out on Russian territory. He reported that British intelligence services supervised the 'Web' operation when drones attacked airbases with Russian strategic bombers.
Furthermore, according to Bortnikov, London and its 'war party' are 'fueling hysteria about the alleged "threat from the East"'. This is why there were incidents with 'allegedly Russian drones over EU territory'. Meanwhile, he stated that 'professionals have no doubt' about the involvement of 'NATO intelligence services' in these incidents.
According to the FSB head, British and Ukrainian intelligence services are allegedly planning raids by sabotage groups in border regions, as well as attacks on critical infrastructure using drones, unmanned boats, and 'combat swimmers'. One of the targets for sabotage will be the 'Turkish Stream' gas pipeline, Bortnikov stated without further details.
He also mentioned that, according to the FSB, instructors from the British Army's SAS special units and MI-6 intelligence allegedly planned a series of drone strikes on facilities, including the Caspian Pipeline Consortium.
Bortnikov accused the UK of repeatedly disrupting the peace agreement on Ukraine, thus ensuring 'capital flow from the EU to their markets'.
'The Kyiv regime, which is totally controlled by the British, was given carte blanche for a fascist dictatorship,' reported the head of the Russian intelligence service.
