On Wednesday evening, Hamas handed over to Israel the bodies of two hostages who were killed in captivity.

Inbar Haiman was kidnapped from the Nova festival and killed in captivity. She was 27 years old.

Sergeant Muhammad al-Atrash was 39 years old. A resident of the Bedouin village of Saawa, he served as a tracker in the IDF. Until June 24, 2024, he was considered a hostage. It later became known that he was killed and his body was held by terrorists.

On the evening of October 13, the remains of four hostages were handed over to Israel from Gaza: Guy Iluz, kidnapped from the Nova festival and perished in captivity, student Bipin Joshi, whose fate was unknown, Yossi Sharabi from Kibbutz Be'eri, and Daniel Peretz, platoon commander of the 77th Battalion of the 7th Armored Brigade from Yad Binyamin, killed in battle on October 7.

On October 14, Hamas handed over four bodies, and during the examination, it was found that along with the bodies of three Israelis, 19-year-old Tamir Nimrodi, killed in captivity, 36-year-old Uriel Baruch, and 53-year-old Eitan Levi, who were killed on October 7, the body of a resident of the Palestinian Authority was handed over.

Currently, 19 killed or perished in captivity hostages remain in Gaza. According to the agreement, for each deceased hostage's body, Israel hands over the bodies of 15 militants to Gaza.

«The terrorist organization Hamas is obliged to fulfill its commitments to the mediators and return the kidnapped as part of the agreement's implementation. We will not compromise on this issue and will make every effort until we return all the deceased hostages», — stated the office of the Prime Minister of Israel, published on the morning of October 16.

On October 15, Hamas stated that it handed over all the bodies it could retrieve. The terrorist group claims that special equipment and technology are required to search for and retrieve the remaining bodies. At the same time, Israel claims that Hamas can find and retrieve at least ten more hostages' bodies from under the rubble. Israel has provided mediators with coordinates where the remains of Israelis might be located.
