The Tomsk Garrison Military Court sentenced Alexander Kuchkin to three years in a general regime colony on charges of armed robbery, the press service of the 2nd Eastern District Military Court reported.
According to the investigation, the drunken serviceman attacked a woman and struck her twice in the neck with a kitchen knife. After that, Kuchkin took her earrings, cutting one from her earlobe. «With these actions, Kuchkin caused the victim minor harm to health, as well as property damage totaling more than 16 thousand rubles», the investigation concluded.
Kuchin was recruited for the war from the colony where he was serving time for the murder of two elderly women. While serving his sentence in the colony, he signed a contract with the PMC «Wagner», went to war in Ukraine, where he was injured. In the summer of 2024, he signed a new contract, this time with the Ministry of Defense.
«Mediazona»* found Kuchin's sentence from 2012, issued by the Kemerovo Regional Court. He was accused of murdering a 74-year-old pensioner and her 93-year-old mother and was sentenced to 22 years in a colony.
According to the publication, since 2023, 989 criminal cases of murder and intentional infliction of grievous harm resulting in death have been filed in Russian military courts against servicemen.
