More than 30 people were injured

On October 4, during the day, Russians attacked the railway station in the Shostka community of the Sumy region, hitting the Shostka-Kyiv passenger train. According to preliminary data, about 30 people were injured as a result of the attack.

«Russia attacked the railway station in the Shostka community. The enemy deliberately targeted civilian infrastructure — the Shostka-Kyiv passenger train», noted the head of the city administration, Oleg Grigorov.

As reported by the Minister of Community and Territorial Development of Ukraine, Oleksiy Kuleba, the first strike hit the locomotive of the Tereshchynska-Novograd-Siverskyi suburban train, and when the evacuation of people began, the Russians attacked again, hitting the electric locomotives of the Kyiv-Shostka train.

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, published a video of the aftermath of the attack. He emphasized that the Russians could not have been unaware that they were hitting civilians, and the world has no right to ignore this terror.

«Every day, Russia takes lives. And only strength can make them stop. We have heard strong statements from Europe and America, and it is long overdue to implement them all into reality. Together, with everyone who does not consider murder and terror to be normal. Conversations are not enough now. Strong actions are needed», emphasized Zelensky.
