For more than 12 hours, a massive Russian attack on Ukraine continued on the night of September 28, with nearly 500 strike drones and more than 40 missiles, including "Kinzhal" missiles, launched, reported Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
According to the Kyiv Military Administration, four people were killed, and 13 more were injured. More than 15 locations were damaged, including multi-story and private residential buildings. There were also "hits" on the Institute of Cardiology, a gas station, and dozens of cars burned, reported KGA chief Timur Tkachenko.
In Zaporizhzhia, as a result of the night Russian attacks, 21 people were injured. Nine private sector houses and 14 multi-story buildings, as well as non-residential premises, were damaged. An educational institution was damaged by the blast wave, and a fire broke out in a multi-story building.
In the Sumy region, during an attack on a private house, a man was killed, and four more people were injured. In total, during the day, Russian troops carried out 167 shellings of 50 settlements in the region. The air raid alert lasted more than 20 hours
"This vile attack happened practically as the conclusion of the UN General Assembly week, and this is how Russia declares its real position. Moscow wants to continue fighting and killing and deserves only the harshest pressure from the world. The Kremlin benefits from continuing this war and terror as long as there are energy revenues and a shadow fleet in operation. We will continue to deliver counterstrikes to deprive Russia of these earning opportunities and force it into diplomacy," wrote Volodymyr Zelensky.
