A 39-year-old resident of Mordovia has been detained and arrested on suspicion of transmitting data about the region's "special objects" to Ukrainian intelligence. He is charged with treason, according to the Public Relations Center (PRC) of the FSB. The name of the individual is not mentioned in the report, it is only known that he works for one of the IT companies in Mordovia.
The FSB claims that the detainee "proactively" established contact with an employee of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense (MDI MD) of Ukraine and "on the curator's assignment" for monetary reward, obtained and transmitted data about the locations of "critical infrastructure objects" in the region.
Furthermore, according to the investigation, the young man transmitted information to Ukrainian intelligence regarding an Interior Ministry employee in the Republic of Mordovia for the organization of a contract killing.
