The President of the United States and the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom spoke at a press conference during Trump's visit regarding the Kremlin's unwillingness to end the war.
Trump once again stated that he ended seven wars and the Russian-Ukrainian should be the eighth, although he admitted that it turned out to be not as simple as he expected.
'I thought it would be easiest to conduct the operation thanks to my relationship with President Putin, but he let me down. He really let me down. It was supposed to be Russia and Ukraine. Let's see how it ends,' Trump said.
Routinely noting that the war in Ukraine would never have started if he had been the President of the United States, Trump stated that he simply must end it.
'Millions of people, millions of souls have died in this war, and these are not American soldiers. Soldiers are dying at a rate unseen since World War II. I feel that I must solve this problem for this very reason,' shared the head of the White House.
British Prime Minister Keir Starmer was more specific in his assessments of the situation, stating that Vladimir Putin has recently become either more bold or reckless. That is why allies need to increase pressure on Russia to force Putin to end the war against Ukraine.
'In recent days, Putin has shown his true face by carrying out the largest attacks since the invasion began, resulting in even more innocent people dying. And there have been unprecedented violations of NATO airspace,' said Starmer.
