The authorities also considered the criticism of the article on 'discrediting' as 'discrediting' the army

The court in Stavropol fined a Russian living in the USA, Vitaly Kuznetsov, under the article on 'discrediting' the army due to posts and comments on Instagram about Vladimir Putin, singer Shaman, and the departure of famous people from Russia. The corresponding ruling was found by 'Verstka'* in the court's database.

As stated in the court's decision, Kuznetsov posted a photo of a person 'resembling the Russian singer SHAMAN in appearance, walking down the street' and wrote a comment: 'No one has ever so brazenly and openly cosplayed Hitler's Nazis. They are already saying directly: “Yes, we are Nazis, and what?”'.

In addition, the authorities considered the Stavropol resident's comment on the tightening of the law on 'discrediting' itself as 'discrediting' the army.

'In other words, the Russian army is discredited not by the fighting murderers, rapists, and robbers, but by someone saying it out loud. Classic,' Kuznetsov wrote a comment under one of the posts.

The protocol included more than 15 comments by the Stavropol resident. The court ruled that Kuznetsov's comments and publications contain 'a negative assessment of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation' and 'the results of the special military operation in Ukraine' and fined him 30 thousand rubles.
