The Dzerzhinsky District Court of Perm ordered house arrest for the 15-year-old teenager in a criminal case of attempted terrorist attack, the court's press service reported.
According to the investigation materials presented in court, the case also involves an 11-year-old teenager, who was left free, as he has not yet reached the age of "criminal responsibility" — 14 years.
According to the investigation, the students planned to commit arson "to destabilize the activities of government bodies and influence their decision-making." When and where exactly the arson occurred is not specified in the court's report.
In August, the Perm department of the Investigative Committee reported the initiation of a case involving participation in a terrorist organization, an attempt at a terrorist attack, and training in terrorist activities against the 15-year-old teenager. He was charged with preparing to set fire to a transformer substation in the Perm district in April 2024 in the interests of Ukraine.
According to "RIA Novosti" citing statistics from the judicial department at the Supreme Court, in 2024, courts sentenced 870 people under "terrorist articles," including 48 minors.
