Ukrainian drones attacked the Bashneft refinery in Ufa

2025.09.13

Due to yesterday's drone attack on the largest oil loading port of Primorsk in the Leningrad region, loadings have been suspended for the first time

A fire broke out at the oil refinery near Ufa on September 13, as first reported by the Telegram channel rb_ufa.

Prior to this, the press service of Rosaviatsiya announced the suspension of operations at Ufa airport—such warnings appear in the event of a drone attack threat. Additionally, at the same time, the city experienced issues with mobile internet access.

The head of the Republic of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, stated that the strike hit the Bashneft enterprise. “The drone was damaged and fell on the plant's territory. There are no casualties or injuries. The production site sustained minor damage, and a fire broke out, which is currently being extinguished. After this, another UAV was shot down. The scale of the consequences of its fall is still being clarified,” Khabirov reports.

Meanwhile, due to the attack on September 12, the largest oil loading port of Primorsk suspended loadings for the first time, Reuters writes, citing sources in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Agency sources claim that the tanker Kusto and Cai Yun, registered in the Seychelles, were damaged. As The Insider found out, both vessels are part of the Russian “shadow fleet” and are under sanctions by the US, EU, UK, and Switzerland.

Primorsk is capable of shipping about 1 million barrels of oil per day, making it the most important export hub for Russian oil and the largest port in the western part of the country. It handles the loading of the flagship Urals brand, as well as approximately 300,000 barrels of diesel fuel per day.
