The Siberian Design Institute of 'Roscosmos' declared bankruptcy and stopped paying salaries to employees

The CEO of RKK 'Energia', Igor Maltsev, in a congratulatory message to employees on the company's 79th anniversary, openly stated the dire situation, writes 'Gazeta.ru' citing a screenshot of the congratulation obtained by the publication.

'The situation is critical: multimillion-dollar debts, interest on loans "consume" the budget, many processes are inefficient, a significant part of the team has lost motivation and a sense of collective responsibility. <...> Essentially, pulling the company out is a task in the realm of miracles: we must do everything possible, and everything impossible, God will do for us!' Maltsev's address states.

Maltsev emphasized that 'the groundwork created by Sergey Pavlovich [Korolev] and developed by our chief designers—Mishin, Glushko, Semenov,—has been exhausted as of today.' He noted that in recent years 'all major project promises have been unfulfilled, all deadlines have been missed.'

RKK 'Energia' is the largest enterprise in the space industry, which develops manned satellites and services the Russian segment of the ISS. The largest project of 'Energia' is the construction of the Russian Orbital Station (ROS), which is supposed to replace the International Space Station (ISS), however, funding for the project has not yet been approved.

Meanwhile, the Siberian Institute of Design for Machine-Building Enterprises ('Sibpromproekt') is preparing to file for bankruptcy, according to 'Fedresource' data. The enterprise is also part of the state corporation 'Roscosmos'.

Employees of 'Sibpromproekt' told 'Caution, news' that they have not received salaries for 3.5 months. Specifically, since May, about 100 people have been left without money. Most of them resigned without receiving any settlement or vacation pay.

Appeals to the head of 'Roscosmos', Dmitry Bakanov, and to the prosecutor's office also went unanswered. According to 'SPARK-Interfax', 'Sibpromproekt's' accounts have been blocked.
