One of the downed drones fell in a residential area, injuring three people, including a child

On the night of August 23, the Volgograd region was subjected to a massive drone attack. According to Governor Andrey Bocharov, air defense forces shot down several targets, but one of the drones fell in the area of Lenin Street in the city of Petrov Val near a multi-story building.

«According to preliminary information, three residents were injured, one of them a child. They are currently receiving the necessary medical assistance — there is no threat to life. In addition, as a result of the drone debris falling, a fire broke out in dry vegetation in the area of the Kraptsovsky farm in the Kumylzhensky district. The fire has been localized, and there is no threat to the settlement», wrote the governor.

Local residents also reported a fire in the area of the Petrov Val railway station.

Since the beginning of the month, due to drone attacks in Russia, the Syzran, Novokuibyshevsk, Saratov, and Volgograd refineries have completely stopped. The Ryazan plant of «Rosneft», which supplies fuel to Moscow and the region, has halted half of its capacities.

As a result, a third region is already facing a gasoline shortage. Since August 20, a gas station in the Kuril district of the Sakhalin region has banned the sale of more than 10 liters of AI-92 gasoline per person, the district administration reported.

Previously, residents of Primorye complained about long queues and a shortage of gasoline. On August 18, the Ministry of Economic Development of Zabaykalsky Krai announced restrictions on the sale of AI-95 gasoline, explaining this by the congestion of the railway and delays in shipments at refineries.
