The document also mentions the supply of long-range precision missile systems to Ukraine and support for strikes on military targets in Russia

The NATO Parliamentary Assembly, in a resolution adopted at the meeting in Montreal on November 25, called on NATO member governments to «intensify political and practical efforts to help Ukraine receive an invitation and become the 33rd NATO member as soon as possible».

The document also calls for strengthening the sanctions base against Russia and North Korea to «increase the cost of their cooperation in aggression against Ukraine», and to provide Ukraine with all means, including medium-range missiles, for self-defense and deterrence of further aggression.

According to sources, the non-public annex to the document also mentions Ukraine's request for the supply of American Tomahawk cruise missiles with a range of up to 1600 or 2500 km. The NATO Parliamentary Assembly resolution itself does not mention Tomahawk missiles, but expresses support for the supply of air defense systems, long-range precision missile systems, and combat fighters to Ukraine.

Among other things, the document expresses support for strikes on military targets in Russia using Western weapons for self-defense purposes.

The resolution pays significant attention to the potential confrontation between NATO countries and Russia, mentioning the achievement of a defense spending budget of at least 2% of GDP. By the next NATO summit, the alliance should prepare a draft common strategic doctrine regarding Russia, which should emphasize the ability to confront Moscow militarily and expand the sanctions regime to undermine its ability to wage aggressive wars.
