The FSB reported the revocation of accreditation of the second secretary of the political department of the British Embassy in Moscow, Wilkes Edward Pryor, allegedly providing false information about himself when obtaining permission to enter Russia. According to the agency, the actions of the British diplomat "revealed signs of conducting intelligence and subversive activities threatening the security of the Russian Federation." Pryor is ordered to leave Russia within the next two weeks.
The representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Maria Zakharova, reported that the British Ambassador Nigel Casey was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The UK authorities have not yet commented on the statements of the Russian side.
