The "Yeltsin Center" canceled the presentation of Nina Khrushcheva's book after a report from z-activists. She was supposed to present the book "Nikita Khrushchev. A Leader Outside the System" tomorrow. The official reason for the cancellation was cited as "technical reasons".
Previously, public activists from the "Call of the People" movement asked the Prosecutor General's Office and the Ministry of Justice to check the political scientist, Columbia University professor Nina Khrushcheva for "espionage," "attempting on the territorial integrity of the Russian Federation," to recognize her as a "foreign agent," and to prohibit her from giving lectures in the country. In their opinion, Khrushcheva "publicly promotes a radical anti-Russian position" and condemns the "SVO." "Inviting such an outspoken Russophobe during an ongoing war is nonsense even for the "Yeltsin Center," the appeal states.
This is not the first report in the "Call of the People's" collection; they demanded to stop the sale of Noize MC merchandise*, cancel Lolita's concert after a "naked party," and pursued Gennady Khazanov demanding he speak out about the war with Ukraine.
* Recognized as a "foreign agent" in Russia.
