Veterans of the "SVO" will appear in the leadership of every nuclear power plant in Russia, three sources in "Rosatom" told "Verstka"*. They will hold positions as advisors to the directors of enterprises and will be involved in "veteran affairs and patriotic education." The first of them, veteran Pavel Yakushev, will soon be appointed as an advisor to the head of the corporation Alexey Likhachev. Participants of the war in Ukraine are also expected to appear in other state companies, as well as regional and municipal administrations. Within the organizations themselves, this call is associated with the "fetish of the leadership," and the campaign itself is ironically called "A Veteran in Every Home!" The upcoming appointment of Pavel Yakushev was announced by Likhachev himself at a recent closed corporate event for state company employees, a central office employee of "Rosatom" told the publication. According to him, Yakushev, as a participant in the war in Ukraine, underwent training under the "Time of Heroes" program. At "Rosatom," he will be engaged in "organizing support for the families" of deceased war participants, "organizing SVO veteran councils," as well as "patriotic education."
Two interlocutors of "Verstka" in "Rosatom" said that veterans in the rank of advisors should appear in every structural unit of "Rosatom," including all Russian nuclear power plants.
Also, the "new elite" as advisors will soon appear in a number of other state companies, the publication claims. "There is an order from the leadership to place a veteran in every branch and at every hydroelectric power station. Positions — advisors to the heads of departments. With unclear functionality so far," said a source in "RusHydro."
Meanwhile, the functionality of the advisors is still unclear and is more of an advertising campaign for the war than an element of effective management.
Vladimir Putin declared the participants of the war in Ukraine as the "new elite." Subsequently, under the supervision of the first deputy head of the presidential administration, Sergey Kiriyenko, the authorities launched the personnel project "Time of Heroes," aimed at training war participants in management skills and ensuring their advancement in state structures. Three of them have already become senators, many have become deputies of regional and municipal legislative assemblies.
